    Awarded most successful agricultural households - ProAgro Lider 2010

    ProCredit Bank, as the leader in providing support to the development of domestic agricultural production, pronounced the winners of the ProAgro Lider 2010 award at the Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad. The award ceremony was attended by the Minister of agriculture, Mr. Sasa Dragin and a high number of other guests, and all winners of ProAgro Lider 2010 award were given a several days study trip to Italy and Austria.

    ProAgro Lider 2010 award was attributed to agricultural producers who:

    • Achieve highest yields and best results in agricultural production
    • Invest constantly in modernization and improvement of production
    • Are aware of the importance of utilization of renewable energy sources
    • Have clear vision and concrete plans for the future

    ProAgro Lider 2010 winners with the members of the jury

    By the decision of the jury, the first place in big agricultural households category was attributed to Katalin Mužlai from Bačko Gradište near Bečej, dealing with crops and breeding of cows of exceptional milking qualities of over 6,600 liter of milk per year per cow. As the first rated producer in the category of medium sized households Ivan Radić from Bavanište near Kovin was pronounced, while the first place in the category of small households was given to Miroslav Stanković from Čekmin near Leskovac, dealing with vegetable planting in the open air, who has record yields of onions, pepper and potato.

    Second place in the category of big agricultural households was attributed to Jovica Đorđević from Donje Krajince near Leskovac, who is one of the best vegetable producers in the area. Second place as medium sized household was taken by Miroslav Gošnjić from Ljig (dealing with cattle breeding), and second most successful in small households category was pronounced Marko Petrović from Osečenica near Mionica, with yearly output of around 5,000 liters of milk per cow, as well as exceptional results in breeding chicken and heifers.

    Third rated in the category of big agricultural households was Radoslav Katić from Zrenjanin surroundings, crop breeder on over 345 acres of land with yields of over 11.5 tons of maize per hectare. The same position in the category of medium sized households was attributed to Mersudin Omerović from Nadumci near Tutin, one of the most successful sheep breeder in the region, while third ranked small haosehold was that of Mileta Marković from Štitar near Šabac, who breeds cattle, produces milk and grows vegetables in the open air.

    A special award – Leader in using renewable energy sources was attributed to Velibor Kuzmanović from Snegotin near Golubac, whose household uses solar energy effectively and heats water for the needs of the household via eight solar plates.
